It took well over a year, but my website finally has an “about” page. It is still very much a work in progress. Writing this type of content fills me with a weird sort of existential dread, tinged with sweet, sweet pangs of imposter syndrome.

@eli imposter syndrome, you say? You must be a developer with a good deal of experience 😮

@eli have you read about the Now page, I think that idea may be easier to implement than an About page. Maybe because the Now page seems always to be a work in progress, which I think most of us feel we are.

@vishae you are 100% right about /now pages being less stressful to write! I’ve already got one of those in place. 😃

@matigo Hahahaha. There is the rub. In reality I’m a liberal arts grad. masquerading as a web dev., all while intending to be a technical writer or UX researcher/designer. 😐🤫

@eli I really dislike writing about pages and bio blocks. Would rather pay a writer to do it. 😬

@eli Looks good to me. 👍 The aforementioned Now page definitely helps to balance out About pages, whether that's for people who prefer to use fewer words or more. Either way I like this page, it works well.
