I find cleaning up CSS animations a) weirdly zen, b) crazy frustrating. A weird dichotomy to hold simultaneously. Generally, I try to avoid adding them to designs I’ve built from the ground up unless they explicitly enhance the user experience, but because of the nature of my work, I often end up cleaning up CSS animations written by other folks with whom I can never talk, so I get to spend a heap of time trying to figure out their system/intention.
